My personal Story.
I was born in Siberia. Back there I spent 10 years going to the gym, doing hard work-out with intense aerobics, weight lifting machines and running marathons. Squeezing every bit of energy from my body to reach perfection. Pushing myself to the limit, like jogging on the snow in -20 oC, sometimes leaving myself exhausted or injured. On top of that, as I used to love horse-riding, once I suffered a bad fall, which left my lower back and knee in a bad state. I had some displaced vertebrates, herniated disk and sciatica and I was told that I should stop running and doing any heavy exercise. I felt I was losing my inner balance. However, despite the pain, I continued to stay active, but as years passed, I realized that there are limits to my body and the old injuries in my spine and joints started to remind me about the inevitable realities. I couldn't push my body so hard anymore. It made me rethink and I started studying ancient philosophy of life and balance, trying to find remedies to heal my body and soul. I felt inspired by more alternative methods like Aurveda, which helped me with rebalancing my diet. I realized that I have to keep the harmony and treat my body with more kindness and not only demand from it. Harmony is a peaceful functional relation with people around you, with yourself and within your body. If your physical body is in harmony, you will never feel your joints, your hips and back or shoulders when they move. And it's only when you start to experience pain somewhere in your body, you start to consider that you have to do something with your body. Many people never start any healthier regime until they are sick. Why bother? I think it takes a kind of enlightened person to start doing yoga when you are not sick.
Bringing Yoga in my life was like a blessing. My approach to life became more mindful and conscious. I started to create a new friendlier relation with my body, which responded to me with the same kindness. I started to be aware how I hold my body and what effect it has on my posture. There were changes which I noted from the first month. I felt uplifted and like somebody has put oil in my joints. I learned how to deal with my back pain. Asana became my remedy for displaced disks every morning. So I did my teacher training course and never stopped practising. I am very passionate and inspired to share what I know, and to help people to bring changes in their life..
